Come and Knock on My Door
While she’s obviously thrilled
to have son, Phips, 18, and daughter, Courtney, 20, visiting home from school as
often as possible, we wonder how Hillary B. Smith (Nora) feels when the kids
decide to bring some guests along with them. “They always bring big groups of
friends of the house,” admits the actress, “but I love my kids’ friends!” Smith
does get a bit anxious, though, in the days before their arrival. “The thought
of it exhausts me,” she chuckles, “But when they’re here we have the best time.”
So, what kinds of things should future houseguests expect from Smith? “I make
them breakfast,” she says, “and everyone knows we have this big cookout. It’s
fun!” All in all, Smith’s hospitable nature reflects how she feels about being
around different people. “I look forward to meeting new friends,” she points
out, “and having new experiences. That’s what I love!”
