Nora finds the proof that could shatter Lindsay and Bo’s
wedding – again! Hillary B. Smith explains how Nora got the evidence and why
she may or may not act this time.
WEEKLY: So it’s from the graveyard to the wedding?
SMITH: Oh, yes [Bo and Lindsay} arrive the morning of Nash’s burial and tell us
that they are getting married.
WEEKLY: How does Nora take the news?
SMITH: Nora probably runs out of the room and throws up (laughs).
WEEKLY: So firs the announcement, and then…
SMITH: They go to the burial, and then Nora goes and has lunch with Viki. Viki
comes directly from Jessica’s, and [Nora{ says, “Bo and Lindsay are getting
married.” [Viki’s] like, “What are you going to do?” There’s nothing Nora can
do. Meanwhile, sitting in her pile of files, is the letter that RJ has written
that Lindsay thinks she’s destroyed.
WEEKLY: Has Nora actually found the letter yet?
SMITH: She hasn’t. So there she is, sitting with this letter, and Delphina the
psychic walks by and goes, “What you’re looking for is in a sea of blue.” So
she looks at this blue folder and she opens it up and there it is. Everything
that she has been trying to prove for a year is right there on the very eve of
the wedding.
WEEKLY: What does she do now?
SMITH: She goes back to the house and she sees Clint and goes, “It’s huge. This
is huge! I have to stop the wedding!”
WEEKLY: What does Clint have to say about that?
SMITH: “Let it go.” He doesn’t even want to hear it. He goes, “You’ve got to
let it go. [Bo’s] found happiness. Haven’t we just learned how short life is?
And finally Nora has a little tete-a-tete with Nigel. Nigel had to make this
decision: “What do you do to protect the people you love?” And whatever
decision you make, it’s the one you’ll have to live with for the rest of your
life. And so Nora decides, “Okay, I’ve ruined his life once before, he didn’t
speak to me. He’d never speak to me again.”
WEEKLY: Does she hate Lindsay that much?
SMITH: It’s not personal. It really has become her obsession. She has sat down
and realized it’s not personal. It’s about justice, and the fact that everybody
else has to pay the consequences of her actions, and Lindsay never has. There’s
never been justice. And it’s not just that – Lindsay’s going to become
Matthew’s stepmother. He is going to have her for an example: “If you work it
hard enough, you don’t have to pay for any of your actions.”
WEEKLY: Nora does want Bo to be happy. She can’t work around
that?
SMITH: She tries. She’s just decided that she’s going to do her best and she’s
going to be the perfect hostess. Because you know, the wedding is in her house.
WEEKLY: Isn’t that fun?
SMITH: Yes. Thank you, Matthew (laughs). And then the wedding starts, and they
start talking about honesty and trust, and it’s “Will she, or won’t she?”
